Mission Statement
The mission of the Morgan County Health Department is to provide approved
clinical and environmental services required by the State of West Virginia in order
to protect the heatlth of the general public.  We also plan and mobilize
appropriate actions with the community in order to act during a disaster or epidemic
and to help provide solutions for a healthier Morgan County

Agenda will be posted to website 3 Days Prior to meeting.

  Restaurant Inspections are placed on this web site. As each inspection is completed,
the report will be added until all food establishments have been inspected. Food
establishments are inspected every six months.  A new report for each establishment will
replace the previous one. Click on the "Environmental Services" tab to the left and scroll
to the bottom of the page. Click on the business name and wait until the document appears.
 
Food Handlers Classes are held the Third Tuesday of each month in the
Morgan County Health Department Conference Room. 
Please call ahead 304-258-1513 x 18 if you are planning to attend. 
 
The Health Department is offering "Serve Safe" classes as needed in our conference room for any food establishment personnel who wish to receive this national five year certification.  Please contact Sanitarian, Brian Carter at 304-258-1513, ext. 19 for more information.
 
Family Planning and Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Clinics
are held monthly, with sign up days each Thursday.  Eligibility requirements apply.

Morgan County, WV is part of the eastern panhandle of the state. The county is bordered by Washington County, Maryland to the north and Frederick County, Virginia to the south. We also share boundaries with Berkeley County, WV to the east and Hampshire County, WV to the southwest. The county seat is Berkeley Springs.  Paw Paw is the only other incorporated town in the county, however, the town of Great Cacapon is also a designated post office zipcode area. Two state parks, Cacapon and Berkeley Springs are located here.
